Our Vision
Miller Homes’ proposals for Land East of Jacksons Meadow will deliver a high‑quality, landscape‑led neighbourhood that responds to the site’s setting, strengthens biodiversity and integrates sensitively with the existing community in Bidford‑on‑Avon. Building on the successful delivery of Kings Meadow, the scheme reflects an established pattern of development while improving design, access and green infrastructure.
High-Quality Homes
The emerging Masterplan proposes a balanced mix of up to 90 new homes that reflect local character and offer good design, reliable construction standards and attractive streets. Homes will be designed to feel part of the village, with varied house types to support different households and a layout that encourages neighbourly, safe and comfortable living.
Biodiversity and Green Infrastructure
Existing hedgerows, trees and natural features help shape the layout, and these will be retained wherever possible and strengthened with new planting and green spaces. Our aim is to create a healthier environment for people and wildlife by introducing a mix of habitats and native planting. Ongoing ecological surveys will guide this work, and the site’s proximity to Small Brook offers opportunities to improve local wildlife connections in the long term.
Strong Connections to the Village
The vision includes safe, clearly defined routes for walking and cycling, with direct connections into the existing pedestrian network. In addition to the main access through Valor Drive, a dedicated pedestrian link is proposed in the southern corner of the site, enabling convenient and direct access towards the village and supporting sustainable local trips. A single vehicle access from Valor Drive provides a simple and practical route into the neighbourhood, supported by footways and street lighting. These connections ensure the development integrates well with Bidford‑on‑Avon, encouraging walking and cycling for everyday journeys.
Delivering Community Spaces
Green spaces and a small Local Area for Play will sit at the heart of the neighbourhood, providing places for informal recreation and everyday enjoyment. These spaces are designed to feel safe, overlooked and easy to reach for all residents.
A Landscape-Led Neighbourhood
The overall approach is guided by a layout that uses planting, open space and careful positioning of homes to create a gentle, attractive edge that respects local views and provides a clear sense of arrival. Sustainable Drainage Systems will be incorporated into the landscape so that water is managed safely and naturally within the green spaces.
